A palatial room by New York standards at the Roger Smith Hotel on Lexington in Midtown. A great location!

More than enough room to turn around in, though the same can't be said for the bathroom.

Our Sunday night stroll to Rockefeller Center led us past Saks and a spectacular snowflake light show set to the Ukrainian Bell Carol. We were hoping for snow, but we only had rain and sleet that evening.

Despite the foul weather, we had to fight a crowd for a decent photo of the ginourmous tree with a Swaorski crystal star on top. Afterwards, we warmed up with coffee and chai at Dean & DeLucas.

After a day of shopping in the bitter cold--10 degrees and breezy!--we went to the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular Show. It turned out to be a great show with a 3-D movie, a floating orchestra, an ice rink, and live animals--3 camels, sheep, donkeys & horses--in the living nativity that ended the show. We couldn't decide which part of the show we liked best. Was it the multiplyling Santas, the Toy Soldiers or the Reindeer?

Tuesday, to avoid another cold day, we cabbed it to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Luckily it was much warmer inside.

Mom tells Lisa how she got to touch the temples and hyroglyphs in Egypt, while we were yelled at for snapping a shot with a flash. Different cultures, we guessed.

Kristina called Will to get the name of a restaurant for dinner before the Messiah. Will quickly looked up the Sapphire, an Indian restaurant, just blocks from the Lincoln Center where the girls had a FABULOUS dinner before the Sing-In.
