Gallery:   2006-06-10 Track Day At Shenandoah hidden

Will got a mysterious email from Terry, purporting to be "the track". Apparently it was calling, and Will answered.

Here's Terry, instructing a student on the fine art of driving a 911 on the curb.

There were maybe 3 914's running around at the track. They were loud, slower than everyone else, and generally fun point at and make derisive comments about.

If you haven't guessed by now, it was Porsche day at the track. The Porche Club of America sponsored the event, and as such, there were a lot of Porsches there.

Included in the Porsche mix was a new Porsche Cayenne. Terry reported that on Sunday, the driver put this one into the wall, wrecking a steering knuckle and his radiator, and ended up going home on a flat bed.

Emily had considerably better luck than the Cayenne driver. Here she is just before heading under the bridge.

In spite of her excellent driving, what's a day at the track without 944 carnage? Here Terry inspects the oil pan, wondering where all that oil is coming from, and if it could be why the brand new clutch is slipping.

Emily enjoys some more "seat time" while Terry continues to poke around under the car.

You can't tell, but this was a really cool paint job with iridescent paint that practically glowed.

More 911 action shots.

The checkered flag comes out!

Here's Emily, heading up a pack of Porsches.

In spite of the clutch slipping, Emily did a pretty darn good job of keeping everyone off of her tail. Here she is, holding the line getting ready to head into the straight.

Emily, tearing around the track, after dispatching with the burgandy 944 under the bridge.

More random 911 goodness.

Emily, at it again!

Emily, giving me the Evil Eye after coming in off the track.
