2004-10-31 UNC Game		We went down to UNC to watch the UNC Miami game for Will's birthday, and Halloween. UNC beat Miami in a suprise upset, and Ben's house was transformed into a bizzare haunted mansion. No, those two items are not related.
2004-11-13 CrabtreeFalls		Kristina got a weekend at the Sugar Tree Inn bed and breakfast for her birthday this year. These are photos from Crabtree Falls, the waterfall hike just up the road from the inn.

2005-01-Rome-Day 1		Will and Kristina spent a week in the Eternal City in January ‘05. Ancient Ruins, Renaissance Cathedrals, and Louis Vitton. ...And a lot of really funny looking cars. We took pictures of it all, and present it here for your viewing pleasure.

2005-01-Rome-Day 3		Rome day three. Kristina was under the weather, so this is just pictures of stuff seen by will wandering around. Includes a trip to the ruins, a bunch of arches, and some big gladiator thing.
2005-01-Rome-Day 4		Kristina was still feeling a little droopy today, so we took it easy. Saw a couple fountians, some baths, and a pizza place.
2005-01-Rome-Day 5		Will got whatever Kristina had and spent the night on the bathroom floor (in the shower actually). He spent most of Day 5 in bed. Kristina went shopping, and didn't really take any pictures.
2005-01-Rome-Trip Home		The trip to the airport, the 3 hour airplane flat tire, the stranding in France, and some pictures of dowtown France. Ok, and maybe a rant or two about the French. Maybe three or more.
2005-02-03 MaryKarenVaughn		Mary Karen Verse Vaughn left the loving arms of her family in the early morning hours on February 3, 2005, for her journey home. As Karen traveled through life, she truly never met a stranger – everyone she met soon became a friend, all of whom remember her fondly. She is loved and cherished by her family and her many friends. We all miss her greatly, but know she is going to a better place where she will find true peace.
2005-02-27 Rodeo Engine Rebuild		Not knowing when to admit defeat is either a sign of bravery or stupidity. The Rodeo was leaking oil and coolant from various spots in the engine, so Will decided it needed to be 'fixed'. This snowballed into practically a full engine rebuild - valve cover gaskets, head gaskets, timing belt, radiator hoses, water pump, thermostat... Well, after ripping apart the thing (ok the heads didn't come off, but everything else did) the truck is back together, and running no worse than it did before. In fact, it still leaks oil.
2005-03-27 Easter		Will and Kristina spent Easter at home, with the Dog and the Thomases (next door neighbors.) You can't tell by the pictures, but we promise, they really did show up, and we assure you they had a good time. Really.
2005-04-01 Rodeo CB Install		Will is going to Uwharrie national park in NC to drive over stuff with a bunch of other Isuzu nuts. To ensure he gets the full on experience, he had to install a CB into the truck, both for redneck asthetics and to listen in on the lively Isuzu banter. Here's the install.
2005-04-14 Habitat Destruction Tour 1		Will made a jaunt to NC over the weekend of April 15th to help out with some yard work at the Vaughn ranch in Winston-Salem, and to drive over stuff in Uwharrie National Forest with the Rodeo. Turns out the destruction started earlier than expected with some excitement on the yard work front.

2005-05-07 Lisas New Digs		The whole Gallmeyer clan headed up to Mineapolis MN to see Lisa's new place and help out with getting her settled in.
2005-06-19 Fathers Day		Will and Ben converged on the house in Winston to help Dad celebrate Father's Day. There was much eating of shrimp and steak, pulling of weeds, tiling of floors, and watching of races, but I have no pictures of that. What I DO have pictures of is a toad, a dog, and a couple of flowers. Enjoy.
2005-06-29 IRL Race		The Thomases took Will and Kristina to the IRL Race in Richmond. There was beer, beer guts, crashes, excitement, glory, and a lot of time sitting in a field waiting for traffic to clear out. Supposedly that's what the race leaders spent most of their time doing too. Who knew?
2005-07-04 4th of July		Emily spent Sr. Beach Week in South Carolina. Not that what she did is any of your business, but it so happened that ONE of the things that MAY have transpired on the way back was a detour to South of the Border. All we're saying is we had one killer fireworks display for the 4th.
2005-07-04 BMW 330ci		Against just about everyone's better judgement, Will sold his (un)trusty 328is and bought a (hopefully) trustier 330ci off of eBay over the 4th of July weekend. It arrived on Saturday, July 2nd, with 30k miles on it, and a lot of dirt. Here's the first shots after it had a bath.
2005-07-10 Home Improvement In Red		Tis the season for red, white, and blue! We've sort of neglected the white and blue bit, and went all out with red. Here are pictures of the new sofa, and the new paint scheme in the dining room. Beware - there's lots of RED!
2005-08-06 New Camera		Will won a bet, and got his birthday present 90 days early. It's a Canon Digital Rebel XT, and he's got a 28-135mm zoom lens on it. Here's a sampling of the first shots.
2005-08-12 Bens Bachelor Party		*V*E*G*A*S*    *B*A*B*Y*    *V*E*G*A*S* Gambling, drinking, hot chicks, all you can eat buffets, and the Double Down Dive Bar. Really, could you imagine a better way to do the bachelor party???? While "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" these pictures some how slipped under the customs radar for your VaughnNet enjoyment.
2005-08-26 Airplane Graveyard		Tuscon AZ has Davis Montham airforce base, and a LOT of parked airplanes. Here's some photos of both, plus 'Lil Abners with steak, beer, and all the beans and salsa you can eat.
2005-08-26 Flying Planes With Hank		"Otter" and "BJ" took up Hank, Will, and Ryan (Runt, Animal, and Ace) for the ride of at least two of our lives. We had a blast, culminating in a series of one on one dogfights between the newbies and the Top Gun Hank. Hank ended up putting us all in the dirt, but it was the most fun we could possibly have being shot out of the sky.
2005-09-25 Trip To Kauai		If you have been following along on VaughnNet for more than a couple months, you know that Will and Kristina went to Rome in the spring. That trip didn't go so well, and left us both feeling more worn out than when we left. In an attempt to get a relaxing vacation in before the end of the year, we decided to return to our favorite Hawaiian island, Kauai. While we still didn't quite have enough time there to fully relax, we DID have time for some pretty incredible stuff. Check out this gallery for the highlights.
2005-10-02 Tim And Michelle Wedding		Ed, Jamie, Tim and Will "got the B-School gang back together" and unleashed themselves on the unsuspecting population of Charlotte. It was like a giant Technology Godzilla was turned loose among a throng of unsuspecting CharLuddites. Tim came in from Dallas, Will flew down from DC, Jamie drove in from Greensboro, and Ed made it all the way from Taiwan just for the destruction. Ok, maybe we were all there for Tim and Michelle's wedding, and we really didn't do anything with technology the entire time, other than abuse our digital cameras. Regardless, the reunion was awesome, the wedding even better, and the pictures... ...Well, they speak for themselves.

2005-12-09 First Snow		The first real snow of the year hit in early December this year. Here's the photos to prove it.
2005-12-10 Car Lift		Will and Terry found out the hard way that 1000 lbs is pretty friggin heavy. Not only that but we also found out that a minivan is a better candidate for loading an insanely heavy car lift than the Rodeo is due to the much lower load height. However, when we got it home, we also found out that getting it OUT of the minivan was a lot harder than anticipated. We ended tying it to the Rodeo and pulling it out till it dropped. Unfortunately in the excitement of the moment, we didn't get too many photos, so you'll have to live with the shots post unloading.
2005-12-25 Christmas In Taos		Will and Kristina spent Christmas this year in Taos with the rest of the Gallmeyer family.

2006-06-05 Ben And Dad Back Yard Improvements		Ben and Dad came up to visit the Vaughn Ranch for Memorial day. Little did they know, the only memories they'd go home with were their sore backs.
2006-06-10 Track Day At Shenandoah		Will got a mysterious email from Terry, purporting to be "the track". Apparently it was calling, and Will answered.
2006-06-11 Jennifer Trip To DC		After watching Will, Ben, and Dad Vaughn all out in the back yard over Memorial Day weekend, Kristina REALLY needed some girl time. Jennifer and the girls showed up, just in time.
2006-06-24 National Zoo virt		Will and Kristina took a Saturday afternoon trip to the National Zoo in DC. It was like going on a safari. Except with Pandas.
2006-07-01 Fireworks virt		Will and Kristina met up with the Masons from next door and went to Lansdowne to watch the fireworks. Will tried out some of the fancy camera tricks he's been practicing, and got a couple of fireworks pics.
2006-07-04 4th Of July Extravaganza virt		It's the traditional "Lobster and Blowing Up Stuff" celebration!
2006-07-16 Death Of An X5 virt		Our trusty steed had to be put down over the weekend, however the replacement is up and raring to go.
2006-07-23 Austin virt		Ed had a two week furlough in Austin between his stints in Taiwan and Bangalore so he could repatriate, recuperate, and reaquaint himself with BBQ. Will and Tim made the trek out to the Lone Star State to meet up and eat.
